While working on his master’s degree in clinical psychology at Vanguard University, he volunteered at the university counseling center, where he worked with students struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, sexuality and sexual identity. Over the last three years, he has been working in the addiction and substance abuse field, working at treatment centers for men, women, as well as co-ed. While at Rock Solid Treatment Center, Travis was the lead therapist where he managed a caseload and facilitated group therapy sessions. Travis has a lot of experience with members of the LGBT community and has served on the board of directors for the Lorca Brotherhood Project, a nonprofit organization that focus on finding resources for members of the LGBT community struggling with substance abuse.
